Lazzaretto Station People Mover Bologna TPER
The People Mover connects the railway station to Bologna Airport and is the first monorail built in Italy with fully automated and electric guidance. In the Lazzaretto intermediate station there is the switch that moves an entire block of the monorail to allow the passage of the shuttles. The hydraulic system acts from 5:40 to 24:00, 365 days/year, with a frequency of up to 7 min/h, about or about 55,000 times/year.
Following an accident that caused oil dispersion, Ecosurvey® carried out the cleanup procedures under art 249 Decree 152/2006.
The People Mover connects the railway station to Bologna Airport and is the first monorail built in Italy with fully automated and electric guidance. Electricity flows in the rail and the route is about 5 km entirely raised on 125 pylons at varying heights between 5.2 and 18 m. In the Lazzaretto intermediate station there is the operations center and the centralized command post that governs the transport system as well as the switch that moves an entire block of the monorail to allow the passage of the shuttles to the two terminals. A powerful hydraulic system moves a block of the monorail at each passage of the shuttles: from 5:40 to 24:00, 365 days/year, with a frequency of up to 7 min/h, about or about 55,000 times/year. The efficiency of the hydraulic exchange system guarantees the efficiency of the public transport system.
Following an accident that caused oil dispersion, Ecosurvey® carried out a cleanup intervention on the green area involved by the pollution.
The simplified procedures provided for by art. 249 and annex 4 of Decree 152/2006 for smaller sites and within the 30-day deadline by the law, the soil remediation were carried out and the end of the activities communicated to the Authorities.
